Luem Pua

A Collaboration with Devanom Distillery

Luem Pua was created in collaboration with Devanom Distillery and inspired
by black glutinous rice sato from Sakon Nakhon. The distillery refines
the traditional fermentation process through scientific knowledge,
preserving the distinctive character of Thai rice wine while achieving
greater clarity, complexity, and consistency.

The name “Luem Pua,” meaning “forget one’s husband,”
comes from a playful Thai expression used for food or drink so delicious
that one forgets to share it with the person beside them. It reflects Thai humour,
culinary culture, and memories rooted in everyday life.

The fragrance interprets the character of sato through bright fruits,
a soft yoghurt-like tartness, the sweetness of coconut blossom pollen, glutinous rice,
fermented rice, palm sugar, and aromatic woods—presenting a contemporary olfactory
portrait of traditional Thai rice wine.
