Malaki
Oud Oil
3ml

Honey: Warm sweetness.
Balsam Fir Needles: Resinous, slightly vanilla evergreen.
Oak/Pine/Redwood: Deep forest woodiness.
Earthy: sharp bitterness.

Description:

You may never pin down its exact character.   A wilful, impulsive nature strikes you first, then something more mellow.  Suddenly, bright notes are hovering.  They swoop, showering you with the vanilla aroma of needle leaves fallen from balsam firs.  Mightier denizens of the forest are invoked next, as flickers of oak and pine and redwood are sensed, only to vanish almost before they are identified.  The air is sweet again now, as if lately visited by a swarm of honey bees.  But sweetness is always followed by a bitter cadence, just as muscularity succeeds softness, so much quicker than night follows day.  How can you ever know Malaki?

In Arabic, the word denotes the finest quality, originally meaning “regal”.  That’s the sense we prefer for a fragrance derived from the exceptional Oud oil of an Aquilaria species native to Thailand, crafted with the delicate care for which Thais are renowned.
